Welcome to Cimarron Middle School in Parker, Colorado. It is an honor to be the principal in such an incredible community. I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado, with a Bachelor's degree in Statistics. I pursued my passion and started my career in education at Valley High School and Liberty Middle School before moving to Douglas County School District. With these experiences, I am honored to be a part of Cimarron Middle School’s staff. I have been fortunate to be a part of the Legend feeder for the past eleven years as a math teacher, assistant principal, and principal. My wife is a teacher in DCSD and we are so excited for our two kids to begin their education in the Legend feeder. I have always had a passion for being around students and supporting others in their pursuit to achieve their goals. I believe in Cimarron’s mission in building relationships that help foster a positive learning environment. I look forward to partnering with you to build a great foundational middle school experience.

This will be my third year at Cimarron Middle School, and I am so excited to serve this amazing community!  I am now entering my 13th year of education, having worked both as a math teacher and administrator.  After earning my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Oregon, I went on to teach and coach in California, Oregon, and most recently Colorado.  After another year in a master’s program at UC Denver, I moved into the role of dean and athletic director at Sierra Middle School for two years before joining the fantastic staff at Cimarron.  It has been an absolute privilege to work in education for all this time, I love this field and can’t see myself doing anything else.  Having the opportunity to improve the lives of the next generation is a blessing and a responsibility that I consider to be of the highest importance as both an educator and a father.  Throughout this year I intend to provide unconditional support and guidance for our staff while putting student needs above all else.

My family and I live in this great community and we are very passionate about education and doing what is best for students. I value and strive to help students and adults reach their full potential and I am looking forward to applying this work at Cimarron Middle School. It's an honor to serve here! Go Colts!

I am honored to join the Cimarron team! This school year marks my 10th year as an educator serving middle school students.  I spent my first four years in education as a 6th and 8th grade language arts teacher in Glenview, IL. In 2012, my family decided to move to Colorado to soak in the sun and mountains.  Since then, I have served as a 6th, 7th and 8th grade Language Arts teacher, the K-12 Gifted and Talented Facilitator, and a Dean of Students. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in English Education from Iowa State University, my Masters Degree in Reading Education from Concordia University in Chicago, and my Principal Licensure from Regis University.  This year, I look forward to sharing my passion for the middle level and building meaningful relationships with students, staff and parents so that we can all grow and learn from one another.
